Our Ethos

The Dog House is a state of the art activity holiday and training facility designed exclusively for the education and enjoyment of dogs.

Founded in 1994 by Mark Thompson and his wife Gillian, The Dog House is tucked in a valley amongst 350 acres of stunning woodland and meadows with lakes and streams in Carmarthenshire, Wales. We pride ourselves in being the first company in the UK to care for and educate dogs with an ethos built around learning, exercise, games and health. Our aim is to provide an exemplary service, highlighting a fun and fulfilling daily routine for all of our charges.

This unique approach has earned us the title of 'Britain's first canine health farm' by the Daily Mail newspaper.
