Health & Hygiene

All residents at The Dog House have their weight and diets monitored and are groomed regularly.
Ears, teeth, eyes, paws, claws, skin, coat and faeces are regularly checked for any irregularities or foreign bodies.
All residents are thoroughly towel dried after swimming, or if muddy and wet from being out on a walk.
All residents sleep on clean Vetzyme bedding which is changed regularly, inside a ventilated plastic Perla bed. All rooms and chalets are insulated and heated.
Rooms are thoroughly cleaned using high- pressure steam avoiding too much use of chemical disinfectants.
As well as insisting on up to date vaccinations (including Nobivac KC), we also ensure that all residents are wormed every three months and are undergoing an effective flea and tick control programme

Security

The Dog House is tucked away out of sight, half a mile off a small country lane, in a wooded valley far away from busy roads and pollution (the nearest town is 8 miles away). The farm is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

House Rules

Our house rules are designed to help residents be controlled and better behaved during their stay and when they return to their owners.
We prevent barging through doorways, discourage jumping up, rough, over boisterous play with other dogs and any other unsociable behaviours.
We actively reinforce good behaviours of fast recalls, sits, downs and general calmness!
