Collection and Drop Off

Please ensure that your dog has relieved itself just prior to travelling with The Dog House.

All dogs must be on the lead when collected or delivered to avoid any potential accidents with cars or other dogs.

While every effort will be made to arrive at the time arranged, we cannot guarantee punctuality due to unforeseen circumstances, traffic conditions and other clients’s punctuality. In the event of severe weather or situation beyond our control we reserve the right to reschedule the collection and delivery time and date at short notice, in the best interests of the dog’s safety. In these circumstances, normal rates will apply for any extended stay.

The Dog House does not arrange transport or provide lessons at weekends or Public holidays.

Five days notice is required if the owner wishes to collect or drop off his/her dog to Dinas Farm, Wales.

Arrival and drop off days are charged at the normal day rate.

The Dog House reserves the right not to accept any dogs who have not stayed with us before, during the Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays.

We collect and deliver to London and along the M4 corridor every week. Please enquire for availability.

Activity Holidays and Training

To help your dog feel at home quickly, on his/her first stay with us please provide :-

  • a small rug or bed liner with which he is familiar if possible marked with his name.
  • an old towel.

The Dog House cannot accept any responsibility for any possessions sent with your dog – please do not send any items of sentimental or financial value as they may not be returned in the same condition if at all.

Food

It is recommended that the owner supplies two days worth of his/her dog's usual brand of food only if not usually fed on Hill’s Science Plan. Due to numerous products being on the market, we only carry the full range of Hill’s Science Plan.  If your dog has a medical condition or allergy that means he/she cannot be fed on Hill’s, then please provide in excess of the food required for the duration of the stay. The owner must advise 'The Dog House' in writing of any special dietary requirements on booking.

As part of our routine, night-time biscuits are given. Chews also provided, especially for teething or young adult dogs.

A charge is made for foodstuffs supplied by 'The Dog House' of £2.00 per day this includes two meals, rawhide chews, cow’s ears, bones, Nylabones and stuffed kongs and other enrichment toys etc.

Medicines Etc.

All medication must be clearly labelled with the dog and owner’s name The owner must supply legible, clear written instructions about any medicines to be given and their application. Any tablets, ointments or injections will be administered to the dog at the owner's request, but no responsibility can be accepted by 'The Dog House' for following the owner's instructions.

'The Dog House' reserves the right to call a Veterinary Surgeon when we deem it necessary.  All such Fees will be payable by the owner or the owner's insurers. If in the event of emergency veterinary treatment, we will contact the owner, however if they are unavailable, the owner agrees to give full consent for their dog to be treated as necessary, including hospitalisation, anaesthesia, etc.

WE CANNOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ACCIDENTS, ILLNESSES OR OTHER EVENTS BEYOND OUR CONTROL, BUT WE ASSURE YOU THAT EVERY POSSIBLE CARE AND ATTENTION WILL BE GIVEN TO YOUR DOG AT ALL TIMES.
